Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church
The Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church is located at 1204 Middle Street on Sullivan's Island, South Carolina.
Originally a small wooden building on a lot adjacent to its present location, built in 1845, It was the only public building on Sullivan's Island to survive the American Civil War.
The current building, built from the brick rubble of Fort Moultrie, was started in 1868 and completed in 1873. The steeple tower was added in 1880-1881.

Ravenel Bridge
The Ravenel or Cooper River Bridge between Charleston and Mount Pleasant, South Carolina is a cable-stayed bridge that rises 186 feet above the Cooper River. Until its inception, the larger ships were unable to reach the shipping terminals up river.The bridge rigging is a fan design and the support columns are A-shaped.

Sixty acres is set aside for the gardens which includes 900 varieties of camelias, 250 types of azaleas and a large variety of other flowers as well. It is the oldest garden in the United States
